Romantic nature of Athirapally waterfalls And Vazhachal – Kerala, India

Romantic nature of Athirapally waterfalls And Vazhachal – Kerala, India :-
The two pretty and magnificent waterfalls, Athirapally and Vazhachal are located 78 km from Kochi (Cochin), on the edge of the Sholayar forest ranges. The Athirapally falls join the Chalakudy river after plummeting down 80 ft. The calm bouquet that covers a large area near the falls makes Athirapally a picturesque location. The charming Vazhachal waterfall is close to solid green forests and is a part of the Chalakudy river.
Escape the quiet and much needed, difficulties and burdens of life. Let the calming sounds take you to some places of nature’s most tranquil – and the lovely waterfalls and Athirampally Vazhachal (Prounced as vaazhachaal).
Cannot be the magic of nature Athirampally and Vazhachal can be pronounced in words, starting silently of the ranges are high, and crashing through gorges overhung with trees, this waterfall is one of the best places in India to re-capture the true meaning of the idea of the classic from “wonderful” – and not just calm and sweet, but something wild and natural.

Vazhachal Falls is a rushing watercourse in the Chalakkudy River in the Thrissur district of Kerala, South India. It is located 36km from Chalakkudi and 5km from Athirappilly Falls.
As you walk upper and upper, the forest area is silent and you can hear different types of birds singing and identify each bird from its voice. During monsoon, the trek turns slippery and is filled with little frogs jumping here and there. Walk around 15 minutes and you can hear the massive voice of the falls. As you climb up, you can see the river flowing past huge rocks and trees. The falls are so giant that for a minute you can't believe that they can be so giant. You also thank yourself, that the trek is worth it as you again go down towards the falls. You find little children bathing in the river and a few steps ahead and the water goes down!

No miracle, the sight has been a most wanted with film directors for their locations. The Famous Indian Film maker’s Raavan, Dil Se, Guru and Iruvar have been shot here.
If someone is on a holiday to Kerala India, then a visit to the Athirapally Falls becomes a must-watch experience as it is a favourite destination for all those who love the splendour of nature and beauty. Hire a taxi that takes you to the falls and there are some good resorts also nearby, where you can halt for lunch or dinner. Ideal time to visit the Falls is during the monsoon when the rain water is falling on the river, and fishermen are busy catching fish sitting by the river. Swimming here is not recommended during this time, however you can still find local villagers swimming in unknown waters.
There are many treks around the hilly area to explore the falls and the guide rightly calls it the Niagra of India! You don't want to leave the place and want to enjoy the falls and the sound even after the sun sets. But as you embark on the next journey, the falls and its beauty lingers on in the mind forever.
